I have been looking at the N Scale of Nevada web site for an update on John's condition after his stroke. Today I came upon this announcement. home He was a very innovative and important man in the hobby of model trains. His Scale Structures company raised the bar for detail. He helped many modelers and individuals. He will be missed.
This is truly sad news for railroading and the N scale community. John will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family in this difficult time.
Sad News indeed. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family. N scalers have enjoyed his innovations and ideas, and our trains have run better.
John was a great friend of mine and will be missed very much. They don't get much better then John. My prayers are with his boys and family today. He will be missed very, very much.
While I have never bought any of his fine products nor I have met the Gentleman I am sure there will be a void in the hobby from his passing.. May he rest in peace and my deepest heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
Although I met him only once. He was helpful and I really enjoyed his products over the years. He will be missed. Condolences to his family. Jerry O'Grady
My condolences to John's family. John and his contributions to N-scale will be sorely missed. Bye John. :tb-sad:
Very sad news indeed. I never met John in person, but from everything I've heard, it looks like a missed out on a true model railroad pioneer. My thoughts are with his family.
John will indeed be missed. Years ago when I first started in NScale, I was looking for ice-breakers for my NScale GP...even though the company was not in business for that short time he took both the time to answer my questions and search through his old stock to send me the details...at not charge, for the advice and for the details...Thank you John.
God Bless to his family.. John, I can only imagine the layout you are building and running right now. Thanks for the contributions you made for our hobby. Pretty much, you will continue to live in all of our layouts for many years to come...
I met John once on a business trip and he encouraged me to begin developing my own line. His desire to help others was not only good for the hobby, but sorely needed in this world. With John's passing, I feel we are all a little less blessed. Rest in peace John and my heart felt condolences to his family.
My condloences to John's family and friends. He will be missed by all of us. His contributions to the hobby have been greatly appreciated, to be remembered.
This is truly sad news indeed. My heartfelt condolences go out to John's family and friends, to which he had many, even if he didn't meet them all in person. We all feel this loss and it just reminds me that as trains are great, its the people behind the trains that make this hobby what it is.
