    Hi:

I don't understand how it shows the currnent drain. It shows something like

    2 : 9 %

while I expected to see milliamps or amps.

    How should I read it?

    Thanks

No, it can't be 2.9 amps. The motor I'm using draws 600 mA when stalled.

It's been a couple months since I had the time to mess with my DCC++ stuff, but if I remember right, I think it means that it's drawing 9% of 2 Amps, since the original motor board used was rated for two amps.

That would mean it's drawing about .22 Amps, or 220 milliamps if my calculations are correct.

I could be way off base here, TD will know for sure.

Compared with the Traffic Monitor which shows for example "9/1024". Arduino analog input has 1024 levels, so proximately the value shown by the Current Monitor is percentage of the full measuring range (whatever is the sensitivity set by DCCpp firmware) , I believe.
