I'm trying to get JMRI running on my system, but when I bring up JMRI the power button is yellow "unknown and won't do anything. This system was working fine about 6 months ago, but now I'm stumped. I'm using an NCE Power Cab system with an NCE USB card interface to a PC, and like I said, it worked fine six months ago but now no-go. I actually had this PC running JMRI and controlling trains via a DCC++ arduino system I built up, and that worked as well. I was intending on running JMRI on a Raspberry Pi to control the layout, and have gotten the JMRI running on the R Pi, but when that failed (same way, yellow power button stuck) I went back to the PC and lo and behold it doen't work now. I'm thoroughly confused.
I don't have a solution for you, but when the power shows as unknown, it's because there's no communicatrion to the base system. Since you have the same result with 2 different computers on 2 different systems, you'll have to figure out what could cause the issue on both systems. If I had to take a guess, I'd say that the port(USB??) has changed for some reason.....
