Welcome back from the weekend everyone. I hope you all had a good one and that you got a lot accomplished.

Saturday: Had a great day at work which made the already short day, shorter. I finished the day with my sweetheart with dinner at our favorite German restaurant.

Sunday: I started off with the best intentions, but it was sunny and 55 degrees which meant I worked on outdoor activities including having the last ride on the Harley for the season and yard work. Today we are getting snow so I'm glad I got all that out of the way. Maybe Thursday, my new day off will be more productive.

So how about you? How did you fare? Let us know. We'll do it all over again on Friday the 15th. Until then, have a great week, be safe, don't forget to thank a Veteran and as always...

    High Greens!

THANK YOU VETERANS FOR YOUR SERVICE!

As planned went to the Raleigh Train Show Saturday AM. Pictures below. Saturday night went to the State-Clemson football game. As predicted, it was over in the 1st quarter, we left and watched the rest from a warm den.

Sunday, put down 25 feet of track for the riser up to the Albemarle Division coal branch. The approach will be a long tunnel, so that has to be done before working on the branch itself.

A couple of shots I took from the "Sipping and Switching Society" modular layout at the show Saturday. You guys should google this layout and check out their club. It is awesome.

The HVAC quit on Sunday in the train room and it's COLD up there, so not much got done. Phoned the repairpeople this morning and they'll be here tomorrow afternoon. Not a big deal, as the main house is comfy and there are no water pipes to freeze up there. The unit is old and uses R12, so I'm guessing a $$$$$ replacement is in store.

Clicked like but that is not good news. We had to replace a unit back in early September. Not fun. Hopefully it will be repairable and doesn't have to be replaced

Well, got a lot of sorting done at the parents house Saturday. Then found out we are having guest this coming weekend so instead of working on the layout, I spent my layout time cleaning and organizing the train room. Guess it needed to be done so all is good. :)

Got hoMe late Friday night so I did t get up until around noon on Saturday so nothing got done. Sunday I turned on the hobbit and after three films and 9 hours I have a structure starting to look like something. I’ve been working on the old Western Pacific Wendover Utah train depot. All that is left now is the roof, doors, and paint touch up. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Ran a small train around my little T-Trak loop. Just sat back and enjoyed it. Did some researching for a turntable idea.

Had a VERY good outcome today with the train room HVAC. The service tech found that a corroded wire in the J-box within the unit had fallen away and shorted. He replaced the connection, tested the amp draw with the heat pump and with emergency electric heat, and all was normal.

So, for only $130, my railroad's General Office is open again. Many voicemails backlogged from angry bankers demanding to know when we plan to lay some track. :p

It is already Wed., 13th. I just put reporting marks on the GM&O hopper. Not actually satisfied with the results. I am notorious for running anything that will work and looks half decent. :sneaky:
