It's this old ConCor kit. Following the instructions, it turns out slightly different from the picture. Here was my progress point about a week ago. I had left my phone on the charger Saturday so didn't get a shot of the latest progress. If the fencing goes okay, I am going to be happy with how the kit turns out.
Good guess. The prototype was built in 1942 at the Wendover Army Air Base in Wendover, UT. It is a squadron operations building. The Wendover air base was a training base for bomber crews and p36 pilots and at the end of the war the Enola Gay and Bockscar.
Over the weekend I made the oil depot loading platform and the ice house loading platform deck. Each deck took a whole package of styrene strips along with several pieces of other styrene shapes. The total cost of each loading platform is about $6.00. They are for my Boston Mountains Sub Division layout, the ice house goes on module 04 and the oil depot goes on module 06. Joe
