Good morning, good evening, wherever you may be. I hope you all had a great weekend, and to those guys out there with sons and daughters, I hope you had a Happy Father's Day.

My weekend was filled with a little bit of everything, although, nothing train related. I wont bore you with the details but instead give you guys a lead off to let us know what you got accomplished this past weekend.

We'll meet again on Friday the 21st, when Galesburg RR Days will be in full action, and we can discuss what we wish to do for that coming weekend. Until then, be safe, have a good week and as always...

    High Greens!

Well -- I'm not going to air my personal crap -- I did not have a very good weekend -- 'nough said on that.

I did get some stuff done --

Sat. I was just about to start painting my cabooses -- then I realized -- the factory positioned the smoke jacks incorrectly. Darn it!! So, I removed and repositioned it/them in the correct place. Minor set back. (This had nothing to do with my opening sentence)

Sunday: Finished up the smoke jack project.

Hope Y'all had a great weekend,
    Wolf

After staring at a laser HOn30 box car kit, I finally started getting the parts ready to assemble. Meanwhile, still searching for the missing critter chassis, fruitlessly.

Spent ten minutes running the switcher back and forth on the fiddle yard module for a 5 year old visitor who is gobsmacked by trains. The CSX freights running behind the house all weekend were a way bigger hit, but at least the trains are running!

    From my plans.

Need to get the coal applied to the forms I created (see in my thread in Layout Design Discussion, if interested).
    Nope, didn't happen!

Working on a couple of figures including making a shovel from wire and aluminum sheeting.
Got the shovel roughed out, but not finished.

Want to get the coal yard area surface finished and painted in prep for detailing and try to get stone walls installed.
Got it painted and walls all printed but didn't finish embossing walls.

Want to start my first weathering attempt!
Finally bit the bullet and started this.

Beautiful. Only one problem. It is so realistic that I instinctively glanced at the engineer's side window, but was disappointed to not see him with his elbow on the sill. Lasted just a moment, mind you, before logic regained control and said "Get real, you old fool. This is a model!"

Got absolutely nothing done this weekend and proud of it. I went camping instead.
