Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I'm going to let you all add to this thread as I was involved in a bad wreck Friday so most of my weekend was spent in an ER and recovery. Nothing serious but not much to report. We'll get together again on Friday 31st to start the process all over again.

    High Greens!

@Jim Wiggin --- Wow -- I hope you will be OK. Thought and prayers to you!!

Saturday: I completed the decaling of my friends SW9. I also shot it with clear coat. I also worked on removing the dynamic brake fans from his E8's. Fans are removed and the space is filled in. I have a little bit of finish sanding to do --- then they will go into the paint booth.

Sunday: Re-assembled the SW9. She is done. Did a little work on the E8's.
I then headed over to a friends house -- determining if we will be able to attend any of the Mountain Man Rendezvous he found. -- Doesn't look like it.

Hope the rest of Y'all had a great weekend,
    Wolf

Well, I did what I thought I'd do and this is worked on the deck bridge, that will be 2nd bridge crossing the gorge at the center of the layout. Takes some doing given that ME doesn't make a double-track deck bridge so I am playing-it-by-ear as I build this thing. The text in the photo's sort of describes what's going on.

No trains for me this past week. Catastrophic system failures at work and still in 18 hours a day recovery mode. :(

A few weeks back I started helping my dad begin his N Scale layout. I don't have one, so my trains are going to be running on his pike. I brought over one of my recent purchases, the Turbo Train by Rapido, to test out the track. Looked slick and got me thinking about my old Bachmann Metroliner that my dad got me when I was a kid. In my adult years I got to realize how far off that model is from prototype and when Walthers released their version for HO you could really tell the difference in doing a train accurately. So - this weekend I tinkered around with re-designing the N Scale Metroliner:

Based on my first test prints I think I want to move forward with this project. I don't think there will be much if anything that I'd use from the old Bachmanns...

Productive and expensive weekend for me.

Thursday I was able to start building teepees for the old west module. Two of them I used tooth picks for the poles. Not happy with that. Now I’m looking at using wire painted brown,

Saturday I soldered feeders to the track and got it down. However this started the expensive part. After ruining two pieces of flex track, I cut the third one too short. So I ended up with a fourth one being used. The first two the rail cam up off the ties. And well, code 55 n scale rail don’t go back on so easy. Later I got the LHS. I needed bears, dogs, and deer as well as some board and batten siding. Bears were in stock, deer and forest animals on order. Board and batten I will be going direct. The shop can’t order these in less than quantities of 10 and I only need one. They were busy putting some new stock into inventory and I found a box of Tangent HO hoppers with Utah Railway markings that I have been looking for for a long time now. So I bought the whole box. Yeah expensive.

Sunday I continued with the modules. With track in place I started the wiring. All bus lines have been run and the feeders are attached. Next is the blue point switch machines. Not sure what I am doing there. After the wiring I sat down and finished making cables for the portable DCC system. Pulled out my last Apache case and got it set up for two throttles, power chords, and run cables. In the meantime my wife started playing with her trains again. She pulled out her new Mickey Mouse train finally.

On to next week! I received the laser kits that I ordered last Sunday. Now I have some building to do. Hopefully it all goes well and I can get them done in one day if not one weekend.

got out Sat. due to sunshine. Visited a local storefront model railroad club and walked around shopping area as well as dropping by an art gallery in the same outdoor mall. Sun, got into some regular work. Did just a small amount of layout work checking clearances. Need to reorder priorities. :D
