Welcome back everyone. I hope your weekend was a good one with lots done in the shop. Let's get to it. Saturday: Worked the dealership until 4:00, grabbed dinner with a coworker and Angela. I pay my coworker every Saturday with a super burrito for driving me back and forth to work until I can get the plate stickers for Jess the Jeep. Sunday: I slept in. Well until 7:00 anyway. After breakfast I worked on the CTC panel for the B&M layout. I've got pics but just uploaded them to my B&M NH Branch Facebook page. I have a build thread in the N scale forum but I hardly update it anymore and I think only three people are watching it so... I went with an old school look not the printed style like I did with the City Job. I think it came out okay. I'll give it a few days before putting a clear coat on it. I also watched a great Facebook video from the B&M Historical Society on the last days of the Portsmouth Branch. Lots of neat stuff and well done. So how about you? What did you accomplish this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Friday the 14th to do it all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always... High Greens!
Managed to slightly shrink the box mountain which is in my way of setting up something. Just too many RR artifacts collected, which cannot be compacted. No place else to store them. Needing to be sold.
My weekend went as planned -- Saturday: Painted the roofs, steps and pilots black on my friends E8's -- Continued messing around with me GP and SD9's -- making progress. Sunday: Started decaling the E8's -- the 'big" stripes are on -- now, I need to pop a few bubbles and trim then out. - Then on to the "small" stripes and lettering. Worked a bit on the number boards on the SD9's -- Hope Y'all had a great weekend, Wolf
The Saturday trip to TN got snowed out but that didn't stop the wife with coming up with plenty to keep me busy and away from the trains. Sunday, I set up a new pair of monitors for the computer in the train room. I can now surf TrainBoard and watch railcams at the same time. Sorted out a box of miscellaneous stuff and cleaned up the work bench. Didn't do anything on the layout other than run some trains.
More benchwork. Having a few alterations to the original plans. I suppose that is normal so I guess I'm highballing on schedule.
Did not get as much done as I would like. Just cut some black forms for roofs and walls. Spent night at daughter's house to take grandson to early dental appointment. Traffic was heavy and it rained and rained and blew and rained. Just got back about one and a half hour ago.
Due to late trains and Illness I did t get as much done as I wanted to. Thursday I was asleep all day and Saturday was pretty much the same. Sunday I did build one and a half structures and added some color to the module. So this past week I have been set back. I am pushing to have this module complete by the 29th now.
Looking Good! I had a lot of fun trying to figure my way out of design jams I got myself into along the way. Your bench work looks good as well as sturdy. Please carry on.
Errata Notice: In previous post, black forms should be "blank" forms. FYI. Whoever heard of a "black" form anyway? I need to Pruuf Reed better.
