Well it has happened again. Another weekend has slipped by. Did you get all that you wanted to get done?

As I had guessed, no modeling work was achieved. My time was spent on the other end of the hobby spectrum. I did however get to do some railfaning as well as some rail archeaolgy. Monticello Railway Museum not only had the Wabash F7 pulling passengers, but Southern Steam locomotive #401 was seen switching modern day tank cars and setting them out for NS! Pretty cool.

So how about you? More scenery work or track work? Maybe you have just come back from the National Train Show? Maybe you were part of it? Whatever your plans and activities were this weekend, let us know! We'll come back on Friday the 10th and do it all over again. Until then...

    High Greens!

Friday I posted a picture of a small, quiet shrine. Right across the canal from that little scene is the opposite end of the saints-and-sinners spectrum, outside a couple of places called Lucky's Bar and the Brass Rat.

I added some trees and shrubbery, too, and then I did something I've been away from for a while: I actually worked on model trains. After months of scenery, I pulled out a half-dozen boxcar kits and began by spraying the trucks with rust primer to get them ready for weathering. I've got 3 Accurail cars and another 3 Rib-side cars, all Milwaukee Road. Two of the Accurails have the same road number, and the Rib-side cars come unnumbered with decal sheets, so I'll have some decal work to do later in the week.
