Well it has happened again, another weekend has gone by us. How did you do with your projects?

My weekend was busy, hot and wet. Saturday was spent for the most part moving stuff one storage place 24 miles away, to a closer one that is $30.00 a month cheaper and only 9 miles away. The day was hot mixed with some good thunderstorms, and even though Jess my Jeep had no doors, the rain felt good. Sunday I updated my blog here on Trainboard and cleaned a little in the shop, but not as much done as I wanted. The heat combined with the 4th of July has put the schedule all over the place. Perhaps by next weekend there will be more modeling.

So how about you? With temps in the 80's - 100's in most of North America, I'm sure many of you stayed in side to work on the layout or various locomotive and rolling stock projects. Let us know how you did this weekend and as always, pictures are appreciated. We'll come back on Friday the 6th and do it all over again.

    High Greens!

Yes indeed, good modeling weather. It was "only" in the low 90s here in New England, but that's still hotter than I like. So, I turned on the AC by late morning in the train room, and got down to work. The street running track is done! I got that last siding in, and all the surrounding cobblestones are cut, painted and glued down. There is still a bit of cobblestone street to be laid in the front of the layout, but I also made progress on the buildings that frame that scene, so I hope to get that part down this week. More of the same weather for the 4th, I'm afraid. But, I can relax for the next 3 weeks and watch the Tour de France while modeling or running trains, so it will be a pleasant July regardless of the weather.

This week is good for train week because my wife's in Florida visiting her parents, and my responsibilities are reduced. But, she has the camera....
