Greetings from Milwaukee, WI and the gateway to the weekend. I hope you all had a good week and are now ready to settle into the weekend. Let's see what we have going on.

Friday: My weekend away from home started yesterday and today we set up the Athearn booth at Trainfest. My goal is to have it set up by afternoon so I have time to program a locomotive and stay on top of emails and projects.

Saturday: Is day one of Milwaukee Trainfest. It will be good to get back to it as the show has been on hiatus since 2019.

Sunday: Day two and final day of the show which means for me, show, packing the booth and heading back to east central Illinois back to the wife and pups.

So how about you? What will you be doing this weekend? Will anyone be attending Trainfest? If so, please stop by the Athearn booth and introduce yourself and say hi. We are aisle 210, area F&G. Let us know what you plan to do in the work shop, train room or any shows you will be attending. We'll all assemble again on Monday, November 14th to see how we all did. Until then, remember to thank a veteran, have a great weekend, be safe and healthy and...

    Thank you Veterans!
    &
    High Greens!

    Hmm... Kiz is even rent-

Well... lets see -- tonight we are hosting Bible study here at Mom and Dad's place (I live with my parents), so today will be mostly about getting the house cleaned up and ready to go. Saturday I have some open time, so hopefully I'll be able to continue laying track heading toward Alamosa and getting industries roughed in. Sunday is church in the morning and football in the afternoon (No NASCAR :( ) but hopefully I'll get more track laid

Every one have a great weekend

    TIM

Good mornin and .... HAPPY FRIDAY to Y'all
To all veterans: Thank you for your service!!

This weekend will be Honeydo's - so, more then likely, no MRRing for me.
(I may be able to sneak up and run some trains -- we'll see)

    Y'all have a fantastic weekend,
    Wolf

    Good morning all,

For years I have wanted to go to Trainfest, maybe someday. I'll look forward to the videos posted by those who do go.

I've just about finished up on the railroad rooming house and am ready to start something else. This week a friend gave me a box of goodies for the layout. A fuel tank that I have been looking for, and some sand towers and fueling stands. So next area to get worked on in Carlin yard will be the locomotive servicing facilities.

Today I plan to make a pet supply store and hobby shop run for cat litter and some track and cork to finish the helix.

Everyone have a great weekend whatever you are doing.

Good morning from cloudy, cool and rainy Northeast Ohio!

Friday, hope to get to masking the car body on the 86' Hi-Cube as it is all assembled and the body painted, I found it easier to mask the body then paint the doors rather than the other way around. I also want to paint an Athearn 50' PC&F RBL the first color and then mask later. Two cars are ready for decals and may get to that also. But in the evening we have bowling and I will also be collecting for the Vets at bowling as our association has a reputation as being one of the best in the country at that endeavor.

Saturday, have to take the wife in for an MRI on her hand an wrist as it has not got better since she fell a few weeks ago. After that will be going to the club to run trains and comment on many things. In the evening will be working on the decals and masking that I mentioned above.

Sunday, hopefully have no where to go so I can get more stuff done on the masking and decaling. If the masking is done I may get to painting the masked cars.

For the weekend since the temperature will be going below freezing Sunday night, I need to get all the potted plants inside. This means I must set up the area in the attic for them and place them there. Due to my back issues, I will be needing help from the kids with some of the heavier things. There will be laundry as always but now it is a little more crucial as I need to start packing for our cruise after Thanksgiving.

In the modeling world I want to continue testing the new Bachmann Spectrum K4. I will also need to change out the EZ-Mate couplers for Kadee couplers. A tad annoying that such a high-end locomotive has crappy couplers. I need to organize my collection of coal hoppers and tune up some rolling stock to NRMA recommendations.

Definitely, thanks to the Veterans. (y) Please! Get those kits done (at least one). Jeff said NASCAR is the redneck circus. :) Here's to Sneaking! :sneaky: Good friend with goodies. Cool! @dti406, hoping for fast wrist help for the Mrs. It seems like you are becoming the "Masked Decaler". ;)
The two shot-gun houses are now done. Some of the salient characteristics are (My, don’t I sound “uppity”?) twelve sixteen pane and two twelve pane windows. Two six panel doors. The other two are simple plank doors. Stove vent pipes. (Gotta’ stay warm in Illinois Winters.) Stone piers instead of underpinning. (Did I say “Stay warm?”) Stone steps also. Rusty roofs. One porch hip roof. Now we have the latest in Depression Era housing for some folks. The accompanying pics show the houses before permanent installation which will have a board fence around two small lots. On a further note, the car is Gerald McCorkle’s 1939, Series 60 Business Coupe (used). Everyone have a great weekend. :D

    Happy Friday everyone.
This weekend I'll be in the train room half day tomorrow and most of the day Sunday. Tomorrow at 2 I'll knock off and go to another football game. Our last home game of the season. Playing Boston College.

In the train room the "big idea" for the weekend is to possibly pour the Environtex water at Jackson River. Like the last several weekends, we'll find out Monday. Have a great weekend!!

I need to dig around and find my piece of sheet lead. My HOn30 log cars are really light and there is a slot in the center sill I can fill. I am considering the possibility of ordering another module. Need to order some brake wheels and a couple of other little items. Will see what else might transpire...

As usual, Friday (today) is likely to involve homework. My reading assignments are done, but I still have two papers to write about the reading. Then, if I can, I'll start working ahead on next week's assignment so that I can carve out some time to work on the research paper that's due in five weeks (since I got a topic approved this week). I also may help the Boy Scouts unload this year's popcorn sales orders this afternoon, and this evening will be at the Sebring Model Railroad Club helping with last minute preparations for our annual open house that starts tomorrow. I will also need to stop out and visit my Mom (also in Sebring) who is celebrating her 94th birthday today (she insists that it's Armistice Day since Veterans Day wasn't invented until LONG after she was born).

Saturday, I will be at the club in the morning at least for a while to give our concession folk and the cashier at the door the starting cash that they will need. In the evening, my wife and I will join two of my brothers and other family for dinner since one of my brothers is here visiting Mom from Indiana. Ordinarily, our daughter and son-in-law would join us as well, but last week they returned home from a cruise to the Bahamas (had a very nice time) and apparently both came home with Covid. So, they'll be staying home. The rest of the day is largely unplanned and anything from trains, to household repairs, to chores, to hiking with my wife (and dogs), could happen but homework will probably get thrown in there too.

Sunday, will be church in the morning, followed by more train club open house time and maybe more homework.

Hoping to get back to either the workbench or layout this weekend. Plenty to do, it's the getting to it that is the hard part :) Hope you all have a great weekend!

Once again, I will work in some hobby time while going about other business. Been at the mother-in-law's house all week doing chores and playing chauffeur. I will sneak off to the Boeing Employees Train Show in Kent, WA tomorrow. Mixed in with that will be some soccer on TV, a bit of brunch and a few more chores.

    Stay safe,

Hello from Tokyo! It’s already Saturday out here and spent the day recovering from jet lag-got back from a work trip yesterday, but I have Monday off so a long weekend for me.

Ribs on the grill tomorrow. While I make those I’m going to work on my patched Dash 8s or my coalveyors.

Nothing scheduled for the weekend. The nice fall 30 degree weather is back. Today and tomorrow is the big Milwaukee Trainfest but can't get there. But Thursday and today is the end of something I will miss. Friday was a day I don't enjoy.
So it will be a cold quite weekend. Have fun guys and gals.
