Welcome back everyone. I hope the short week was good for you. Now it's time to converge and see what we have planned for the last weekend of May.

Saturday: Just work at the dealership and work on the garden and lawn.

Sunday: I really want to do some work on the layout but the shelter in place is really getting to Angela so I may try to find something to take her mind off from it. She maybe in the need for some Jeep top down, wind therapy. If I can eek out anything, it will probably just be a quick operations session.

So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 1st of June to see how we have done. Until then, continue to be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

I hope to get back to my SW8 and SW900 projects.

I have also started to work on my downtown buildings. (Finally - they have been in about 75-80% completed status for years)

    Y'all have a great weekend!!

We are going camping so not much will be happening this weekend. Gotta get out of the house for a bit.

Well, I'm hoping motivation will strike and I will do some work on my scenic divide and maybe get the fascia ready for painting.

Hope you all have a great last weekend of May!

Going to find some time each day for a bit of detailing to my Roundhouse module before starting on the next module. It;s supposed to hit almost 100 today, so I only have a few morning hours in the garage.

It's supposed to be 111°F this afternoon...I was given an old N Scale Architect sawmill kit that someone took all of the castings out of, and part of the lumber...

I have always liked the look of a lot of the old HO craftsman kits and I have room for an industry on the same spur as Gallifrey Industries....and I do have the instructions for the old Campbell HO Paint Factory....might need to draw this up and see if I have enough material to make a wood/corrugated metal building....

I am (checks tape measure) THIS CLOSE to finishing track laying, but unlike the beautiful flowing pieces of flex track so far, the last two sidings will be cobbled together from other pieces. Which is probably appropriate for industrial sidings in south Louisiana.

I have to go out and pick up pet supplies and groceries. I also need to go to Home Depot and get something to repair or replace the front door threshold. If I can get to modeling I want to finish building 3 MDC/Roundhouse kits (2 - 36 foot wood reefers and a northeast caboose). I forgot how frustrating and patience testing older MDC/Roundhouse kits can be. I spent several hours last night assembling a 36 foot wood boxcar. I thought I had previously removed all the flashing and open all the holes in the metal base. I spent close to an hour getting the metal base to fit in the boxcar shell.

I'm feeling pretty good again. I'll be wearing a monitor for the next month to test for AFib. I guess it's pretty common in older endurance athletes. I'm already back on the roads, biking and running. Did a 6 mile run yesterday and a 28 mile ride this morning, before the rain moved in, all in all it went ok. I have a few plantings and about 6 CY of mulch to lay down. I'll be working on that if the weather holds. If not, I hope to do some ballasting, and start prepping the river bed.

Yes, a walk in the woods will definitely heal the spirit. Or even a walk at the park. Get out when you can. Lots of projects by the above posters. I my self am working on laying new track due to a previously discussed problem. Also, I will try to do a turnout design upgrade. And another thing, three boxcars are in the shop for upgrades. Yesterday I was able to use better methods for track fabrication which will improve appearance and be easier to do. Good luck to all. :)

Happy Friday all. Not sure what will I'll wind up doing. Will probably take care of some things stacking up at the workshop. Maybe some scenery clean up at the layout. Will definitely be working on "train stuff" though.

Just got home from work and I'm unwinding with a bit of surfing then some supper.
Gotta work tomorrow for six hours but it always feels like eight. Grateful to have a job though.
Sunday I'll do a bit of cooking and then move on to some modeling. Got four kits in the mail today so I imagine they'll be first in line for model projects. Earlier in the week I learned some tricks on CorelDraw so I wouldn't be surprised if I play around with it a bit more.

    Enjoy the days.
