Welcome back everyone to the Gateway to the weekend. I hope you all had a great week. Looks like we had a busy weekend last week, let's keep it up!

Saturday: The forecast is for mid 50's and rain, which will keep me inside most of the day. I keep saying it, but it is true, I need to lay track on the switching shadowbox layout. I also have to ship a package that I have been trying to ship since March 1st. A major project at Athearn has had me fully involved so not much free time. Fortunately, we all will get to see that project next Friday.

Sunday: Is predicted to be warm and sunny and I'm one of those who enjoys working in the yard. There are a few small projects I would like to work on in between the NTrak module. For the NTrak module, I want to sand and stain the legs, as well as cut and install the tops. The module is about 75% done in construction. In a perfect world, I would have the legs stained and ready, top installed along with Fascia and skyboard. I might order track for it today as I would like to start laying track next week. First show is at Galesburg RR Days as I'm officially running with the Heritage NTrak guys. Any left-over time will be spent maybe prepping the grill for warm nights, classic rock, cold beer and burgers.

So how about you? What is on the schedule for you this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 21st to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

    Happy Friday to Y'all

Well, I have the weekend all to my self. My dear Wife is visiting her Mom - In Ohio.

So, I will be sitting down at my work desk and seeing what project catches my fancy. Or - I will head up to the layout and seeing what project catches my fancy there. Or - both!! Hahaha.

Report on Monday - and, perhaps some photos

    Y'all have a spectacular weekend

Yes. Friday! Always a great day.

Similar to Wolf I may spend time in my workshop or head up to the train attic. Probably both.

Workshop: I'd like to take the engines I "ID'd" last weekend and begin work on them. Paint and touch up body shells before decoders go in. I have an Atlas RSD 12 I may slip a mobile-only decoder in.

Train Layout: Possibly cast some rocks, etc at the Jackson River gorge crossing and getting it ready for the tree/scrub cover. After all that is done, then I can start thinking about (down the road) getting water poured for the actual river.

There's also some NCAA Tourney mens and womens games I want to watch tomorrow afternoon.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Did some clean up in the room and measured for possible changes. Checked out yesterdays mail and found I need to go talk to the tax prep folks about 'not filing last year' and why I may not be getting the forms from where I should. That will have to wait till next week. But still looking for good deals.
Today may include snow removal if it gets over 2 inches.

Good morning from sunny and warm Northeast Ohio! Today may get some painting done on a couple of car kits along with continuing to decal a 89' Intermodal Flat, this will take some time as I have to add the reporting marks one letter at a time. Then it is on to bowling tonight.

Saturday, no club meet as there are a couple of train shows in the area this weekend and nobody goes to the club when they are happening. I will probably be working on car kits and decaling later in the evening.

Sunday, normal laundry day along with painting completed car kits and more decal work, may also start on a couple of more kits and continue work on a couple of engines that I have stalled on working on the last couple of weeks.

Fairly busy this week with family activities. Picked up a new side project in my "aunt-in-law's" old computer. Doesn't run reliably and she wants the pictures saved before scrapping the computer. Looks like it may need a battery just to backup the files. Mostly involves letting it run and restarting it when it shuts down randomly. I did get a chance to tinker with the laser, making further improvements in the quality of the output. Which brings me to:

Friday: Take the laptop to the garage and run a series of engraving files. The objective is to find the correct settings for the next modeling part. Hopefully produce the parts. Then we will see.

Saturday: More of the same. If progress is made on Friday, I will be ready to tackle the next step. Closing the loop by tackling the overlays to convert spoked steam drivers to disc drivers. This has been months in the making and I admit to being excited to get to it.

Sunday: Not much modeling planned. Couple soccer matches to watch in the middle of the day. Good chance my son will join us. That means there is also a good chance we will make or go out for food. Always enjoyable.

    Stay safe,

Lots of work to do this weekend. Finish the prepping for the show next week. I also want to try out something for attaching two conduit pieces together to make legs.

Saturday is the NMRA division meeting then I have a few domestic items to complete. We will see what happens

Will hopefully hook up a few more switch controllers and revise the yard throat track layout if my additional switches arrive in today's mail, plus maybe a little railfanning on Sunday afternoon.

If the weather does as predicated we plan on doing some work around the yard and the gardens. There are a couple of inside projects that we might try to tackle.

In the modeling world I have two old Model Power kits, the hot dog stand and the fruit stand, to build. On the layout I have track to ballast. Then there is wiring to do that I have been avoiding.

Yep. Outside calls. Easy to be inside here. It is rainy with possible T-storm at 3:00 p.m. Good to be inside. Saturday morning is chores (again!). Thursday past I began attaching sides to slope sheets Just doing one car to see how it goes after test fitting. Then the rest. :D Have a fun and safe weekend. (y)

    Ummm, here Moose goes again...

Friday: Design and start building the structural details for a passenger-only train station for Oban, using a Silhouette Cameo and styrene sheet.
    :)
Saturday: Question Moose's scratch-building skills but press on with the passenger station scratch-build none-the-less...
    :cautious:
Sunday: Realize Moose has questionable scratch-building skills, give up on scratch-building a train station and commence drinking a nice dark smooth glass of Guinness in a hopeless attempt to forget Moose's latest shame...
    :(

Found a couple of packs of metal wheels this week so hope to get them installed this weekend and test run the cars I install them on. Other than that, I'm just not sure.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Checking in a little late this week from cold, rainy, wet Mid-Michigan. Proceeding on benchwork again this weekend. Today, I'm going to be boring wiring holes in framing parts. Work outside may get in the way tomorrow afternoon, but if I get the chance, I'll be getting the Kreg jig out and drilling about a gazillion pocket holes prior to starting assembly.

Also checking in late, cause I just decided today to start repairing structures that have been in totes, moved around, knocked around, ran into by me, knocked over by me, and apparently I stunk at the original gluing attempt's years ago. Plus back then think I was using the Testers tube stuff and now have the Tamiya Fine Glue with the brush. This stuff is awesome. Also adding shutters to homes ( that I can reach ) that I apparently forgot to add when assembling them in the correct step of instructions, or bought them cheap assembled and came with instructions. Also a Bachmann school house that got warped somehow. Not sure I can fix it, if not going to niece probably?
