Welcome back to the gateway of the weekend. Is it just me or did January seam incredibly long? Well, if it did, good news. After today, it's over and onto February. By the way, thank you to those who expressed concern regarding the wreck I was in last week. Recovery will be a somewhat long progress as I'm still in pain but I am sure it will get better soon. Onward! Saturday: I hope to relax at the end of the day and work on my panel for the B&M. Sunday: I plan to do nothing related to work. Well, it is supposed to be 50 degrees here so that maybe the time to get the CTC panel painted and ready for construction. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. I have put myself on a three week plan to finish the old west module. Wednesday I built a mountain on it so scenery work has started. It should go fast but I have a lot to do still. Trees need to be built, rocks added to the mountain, supplies for a scratch build to order, building kits to build.
This weekend, not sure. Another one of those weekends where I'll get my first cup of coffee early Saturday AM, walk around the layout room or in the workshop and it will come to me what I want to do for the weekend. My guess is I will try to permanently wire up the hidden siding I put finished 2 weekends ago and connect it up to the detection unit. Have a great weekend all.
This weekend's plan is to finish detailing the Moore's warehouse kit and select the next project to get started on. Also going to try to get some CAD time in on a 3D printing project.
Missed working on the layout last weekend. Hoping to get down there and figure out where I left off and get some more scenery work done.
J. Wiggin, speedy recovery. At Approx. 3:56 CST, "dirt and turf" was installed on the layout. Next will be a little "grabble" (gravel) in some small trackside areas. Previously, this module looked a lot like "Whitesands" testing ground. Dirt look is around shop lot and commercial areas. The whole thing looks a lot better. After gravel, back to the passenger depot and some kind of rolling stock to follow. Be safe and good progress to all.
Well, it is Sunday evening with me online after a Ground Hog Day dinner at family's home and an afternoon trip to local scenic spot followed by the G H Day movie. (run on sentence). Now the big question is...will any layout work get done at this hour? Tune in tomorrow evening, same bat time, same bat forum.
