Welcome back everyone, I hope you had a great weekend, let’s see how you did.

Saturday: Was my short day at work. In at 8:00 and out by 5:00. No trains today.

Sunday: I only worked on my design phase of my new control panel. The furnace went out and the old side porch in which it is located was home to boxes that had not been touched since I lived in Northern Illinois, way back 12 years ago. So we spent the day cleaning that space out in anticipation for the new furnace.

So how about you? What did you accomplish? Let us know. We’ll assemble again on Friday the 8th to do it all over again. Until then, have a good week, stay safe and as always...

Not a modeling accomplishment, but a happy outcome nonetheless, was repair of my NS clock. It was given to me by a colleague some 20 years ago after he received it from NS as a gift. He later passed away and the clock has become a treasured item in my train room. It stopped running months ago and I was pleased to source and install a new movement from [ https://www.clockworks.com ].

Saturday I painted the building for the control tower I’m working on. Now I need to do some paint touch up before I can add the window
Glass and glue it in place.

I started to feel burn out on both the depot and control tower that I’m building. I was ready to scrap it all and go onto something else Saturday. To me the projects are taking way too long.

Sunday I popped in a movie. Lord of the Rings extended edition. 12 hours later I finished all three films and I had put the trim on around the windows and doors of the depot. One wall panel took 4 hours. Now all that is left is window glass and doors then I can assemble it.

Got the track laid on the other half of my layout. Learned the hard way not to use acetone on a turnout haha. Just need to get my hands wet with the carving plaster and sculptamold on the mountain.

Got a lucky find on this Boise Cascade boxcar, my pops worked for them for 30 years so as my mother put it “he was tickled to see that” lol

Did another combine for the pending layout. A Massey Ferguson 510 I built from a Matchbox casting.
