Well November is about done and we start a new weekend with December. Hard to believe 2018 is within one month of being a memory.

Saturday: After 22 years of dependable service, my fathers Delta 88 is ready to be replaced. To quote my favorite Christmas movie, “Some men are Baptist, others Catholics; my father was and Oldsmobile man.” Well since the general no longer makes his favorite brand of car, we hope to get him into a newer Buick or Lincoln. Saturday night however I plan to work on the layout.

Sunday: After a bit of rearranging, I hope to get the third module up and repair a stretch of track that got damaged at Galesburg. With any luck, I’ll have trains running again.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We’ll assemble again on Monday the 3rd to see how we all did. Until then, have a fun weekend, stay safe and as always...

We're expecting another rainy weekend, so I won't feel guilty spending time on the trains. Not many more "nice" days left before winter weather really sets in around here.

After the good track cleaning done last week, I need to run some engines and cars around to make sure the summer layover didn't introduce new problems to the trackwork. Any found will be dealt with. As for scenery, I'm going to weather and detail some buildings along the back of the layout, and fasten them down with a spot or two of good ol' Elmers for semi-permanency. I also have some street lights that might find a place, but need to work out how I'm going to wire it all up underneath. I have the bits and bobs, just need to decide where things will go.

No modeling plans --- I have a dishwasher, microwave and a range top (converting from electric to gas) to install. Fun stuff --- not!!
Dishwasher and micro should go without a hitch -- the range top -- we'll see.

Hopefully, I can get them installed and return to my models.

    Y'all have a great weekend!!

Not sure what will get done this weekend. I am currently passing a kidney stone so in between bouts of pain I will make an attempt.
