The end of the week is here! Time to see if any of us plan to actually get any model railroading done this weekend. None here, it’s the Christmas madness so I’ll hand the microphone over to you all and let you have at it. We’ll assemble again on Monday the 24, AKA Christmas Eve Day.......yikes! Yes lots planned, will I get it done? I hope so. Friday I will attempt to build the well cars I didn’t get to last week. Current project on the layout is on track for completion Sunday night Monday morning. All that’s left is the second pour of resin for the water feature, ground cover, attaching signs to the structures and putting in place, figures, and last of all trees. I finished building the trees this past Monday. Yes I plan on posting pics Monday when I introduce the world to Bridge Junction. The only thing left after Monday will be the two items on back order and then a sound card I want to install. I have it but still need a couple materials.

Over the weekend, I plan on cutting a base and "site" the SRM kit "H W Meyers" I have in construction. Over the 12 days I have off for Christmas, I plan mostly on wiring turnouts, weathering about a dozen cars I've built or purchased, and, in general, sprucing up the layout. my plans for this weekend and next week is to lay the track for my staging yard and setup the detection circuits for the same..
Installed the decoder in my K3! Once i am able to program it and test it on DCC, i can add the final couple small detail bits, like the handrails, and call the project actually completed!
