tried there old web sight but nothing.
Good question. Seems like I saw someone asking about this, elsewhere a few months back. As I recall, at that time the answer was yes. I suppose about all you could do is call them and see if the phone answers.
I got a couple brass HOn30 2-6-2s from him on eBay a few months back. (Pictures to follow)
Anyone have the phone number?
A phone number I find is: 207-639-4462
Yes. Please let's see those photos!
I thought I read they were going to get a new web sight but not 100% sure if it was them .
I got one of there HOn30 SR & RL 2-6-2 also but not sure if that is the scale I want to go with.
I have a N scale layout but what to do a small Narrow Guage layout and have been going back an forth between Hon30 or On30.
Anyway thanks all and if I find out I will post here.
They have a HOn30 2-6-2 listed on eBay right now.
eBay listing: SR & RL HOn30 Locomotive #24
See that, I thought of getting it and putting a higher number since SR&RL had no loco over #30 for a what if.
I email them though Ebay. See what happin's.
He'll respond. He got back to me about that unlettered 2-6-2 pictured in his listing.
Yep a quick reponce,His reply was:
I'm sorry to say No, we don't have a new website. The one we had was very outdated so I took it down, not sure at this point what we are going to do. You can always call me 207-650-6685 Thanks, Matt"
Just incase someone else wants to contact them,.PM me for email because I don't want to post since it is not mine.
I learned yesterday from the folks at Crusader Rail Services that the gentleman who ran Train and Trooper retired. Crusader had some HOn30 Forneys left but no 2-6-2s.
I'd forgotten all about my question.
Late last winter, I had learned a few things about the situation. Ray Kaminski (Crusader) got a lot of the T&T HOn30 car kit inventory. But not everything. The old T&T shop still exists, closed, and was storage for some items. They had two B&SR tank car styles produced through Funaro & Camerlengo, and as of last spring there were still some available. I was able to contact Matt Sharp (T&T) and acquire a couple of those kits.
I am not certain what else might remain. At that time, from what Matt wrote, it read like all of the other former T&T HO30 stock was gone.
A little (okay, a lot) delayed but a picture of the T&T SR&RL 2-6-2
Wish I had some money, I'd hunt for one of those steamers.
Send me a PM. I might just have one I'd part with.
I'd love to get one. But I simply do not have that sort of money. I can only rarely scrape up a little money for a kit, a car, etc. If you want to know why, I can PM.
