    Welcome "home" Kevin

As a nearly 30 year N Scaler I can assure you that my passion for this hobby was reborn when I got my first 1/29 car in the mail. It was an Aristo CNR stockcar. I actually bought it on a whim. Sorta' a decoration fot the train room.

Well soon I was selling off all but a few special pieces of the giant N collection and concentrating full time on the big stuff. Indoors and out.

Well when the first engines arrived.....

I run USA Trains' GP9's and SD40-2's as well as a pair of their cabooses. All my rolling stock is Aristo, at least to date, but I may invest in some of the more modern USA items as they become available.

I use the TE for control and I want to put Pheonix sound in two units this winter. I'll need some advice on that installation (what I need, how is it connected etc) but there is a great deal of help on line and there are no stupid questions.

    Enjoy

Dave, that was a long time.....

If you want to control your soundboard in the locomotive (horn ,bell)then you will need the following components from aristo:

    5490 on board receiver
5495 accessory function add on board

and in some cases people need the cooling fan as well. I think this will depend where you put the Phoenix circuit board. If the board can become warm during running sessions then it could stop working for some time.

Most people put the speaker in the fuel tank, but I would prefer to put it at the end of the locomotive under the cooling fans the speaker facing upwards.

By the way there will be some people who won't ber flattereed that you got rid of your whole N scale collection [IMG] [IMG]

(I also sold my big N collection over 100 locomotives and 450 cars, with no regrets [IMG])
