Hi. Just joined up after a few years hiatus from my own model railroading projects. I'm in Gloucestershire, England and work in the model and hobby trade. I'm a member of several clubs with models in N, HO and O scales so I have things to contribute to each club event and layout.
Welcome Ian! I think the coffee pot is still perking in the corner on the big old coal stove, but I'm sure we can find a teapot if need be. There's plenty of places to post pictures of your work, so don't hesitate. Are you primarily a British outline modeler? Have a particular era/epoch? Regardless, we look forward to seeing what you toss up for inspection.
Coincidentally, I was with my best friend Ian today. Though you might take exception to that, he's a Scot. Regardless, I'm looking forward to your creation(s).
I would suppose it is primarily British, in N, OO and O scales. N is good for trains in the landscape, while O is good for hands-on operation and feeling like you're building an actually useful piece of equipment. I used to run American HO regularly, but the group has got steadily smaller and older, so getting a crew together has got a lot harder. Also have a small American modern era N switching puzzle type layout, supposed to be Tidewater Southern, but sometimes get exercised as Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
