I've got an Intermountain hopper with I think Micro trains couplers. The trip pin was black, but there is a spring in the coupler box like a MicoTrains, so thats what I'm assuming it is. Anyway, I'd like to convert it to McHenrys, but the pin in the coupler box is to big for the hole in the McHenry coupler. I tried to find a conversion chart online, but no luck, does McHenry even make different models of couplers? these are MCH5001. Has anyone ever done this conversion?
Okay, No. 1, it's April Fools Day. I say that because No. 2 most people will change out McHenry's for MT's not vice versa. But on the slight chance that both No. 1 and No. 2 do not apply, I offer No. 3. No. 3, either reduce the diameter of the pin or increase the diameter of the hole.
