Two GP35s and two DD35B demos with dynamometer car in the middle of the consist. There are pics in Don Banwart's book Rails, Rivalry & Romance (which dealt with railroads in & around Ft. Scott, KS) of this very set running on the Frisco from Kansas City south. Can't remember if it went to Springfield or Tulsa, but I'm betting it was the former.

And of course even though no DD35s ever made it to the Frisco roster, more GP35s did. The first order came with enlarged fuel tanks which forced EMD to put the air tanks on the roof (hence the nickname "torpedo boat"). They arrived in black with yellow lettering and simplified striping. Later orders came in the O/W scheme.

Thanks to Hemi for mentioning this site.

That would look good on your railroad Bob. A good excuse to run DD35Bs (well two at least) :teeth:

Of course, the differences between the GP35/DD35 demo scheme and the Frisco scheme are the truck & fuel tank colors- on the Frisco, they were painted black.
