CR caboose #19159R assigned to a work train at West Point NY, on the Hudson river. This was part of the West Point tunnel clearance project to allow stack trains on the river line. There was an old crusty New York Central veteran conductor inside reading a newspaper. August 02 1985. [ April 02, 2005, 07:55 PM: Message edited by: Don Rickle ]

If I had to ride that one the ETD could not come fast enough! [ April 05, 2005, 12:15 PM: Message edited by: Don Rickle ]
I already posted this on the MoPac page but here it is again. My brother took this shot in 1978 just North of Valley Jct. outside Hearne, Texas. One of the last class of road cabooses that MoPac built
Looks like the first one would be a good Atlas EV caboose candidate! The second looks like a kitbash. Any thoughts?
You've shown some green Katy cabooses....well, here's a red one: On permanent display at the Ft. Smith Trolley Museum, Ft. Smith, AR. That silver thing ahead of it is a Pullman troop sleeper converted to a power car by Katy. Those are nice shots of Katy cabooses. And that MP "doghouse" caboose is a hoot! As for the wooden KCS crummies- IIRC, they were rebuilt from 40-foot wooden boxcars, and look it- looks like the rebuild was basically sticking bay windows on the sides.
