Does Alabama support conservation and the environment by restocking ponds (lakes?) with different fish species like they do in Mississippi? If so, I'll be up next weekend with a fly rod. Oh yeh, and I'll help by cleaning up the out building and building your framework... you believe that, right? That's a great home you have there.... Copyright 2008 Jerry DeBene
Yes, it is very beautiful here, and very relaxing. The dam is actually a road that crosses the pond. The road then goes back up the mountain, and there is a valley on the other side. NS runs through there, and at night you can hear the engines working hard to climb a grade. Perfect!
I don't know if it is 'stocked', but there are fish in there. I have seen several jump since I have been here.
Hey, Funny how things work out for the best.Congrats my friend. At least now I've got a place to fish, run "N" trains & ride real ones(a real busman's holiday ) Looks like the big decision is weather to drive or fly? Plenty of time to think this out. Copyright 2008 Jerry DeBene

Ballasted deck. I'm used to seeing some concrete in there as well. But that would be getting pretty heavy on a wooden structure. What did they use for a trough? Boxcab E50 Copyright 2008 Jerry DeBene
Wow, nice digs, Jerry - I'm envious! That type of living would suit me just fine; my folks are originally from down south. I've spent summer vacations with relatives down there, and I wouldn't mind moving if I could; I'm sick of the urban rat race. Nice to see you're getting settled in, and really nice seeing those T-2s! Do you have any other unit numbers you could post, besides the 5387? Living in SoCal, I used to see those T-2s on a daily basis during the SP years (including the 5387!). I miss seeing them on their home turf (T-2s are my favorite units!), but at least they've got a good home, and a good hogger to run 'em. Copyright 2008 Jerry DeBene
I wanna personally thank all of you who helped me move this past weekend. Jerry, I promise I'll replace all the beer! HemiAdda2d and SecretWeapon are the ones who hogged it down! And don't worry! Think of it this way, I'll keep an eye on the trains while you're at work! [ April 29, 2005, 06:20 PM: Message edited by: espeeman ] Copyright 2008 Jerry DeBene
