I found this at the Amtrak station in St. Louis. I believe this would be a "Phase I" paint scheme?

I shot a picture earlier this week I was thinking of loading from camera to computer, resizing, uploading to railimages and posting to this thread. Went to check what this thread was called, and found it had been INACTIVE over a year! Didn't seem like that long. Not ready to post my new pix, but I am gpoing to resurrect this thread with a picture I already have.
It is not especially unusual. In fact, I shot this because it looks like a MidContinent Oilfield Supply buuilding I have seen over and over in many little towns.
No sign on the building but it looks like MidContinent. Would be easy to model I think. I once had a place for it on my big monster "dream layout" but in my more realistic downsized layout, it doesn't fit my theme. This WAS in Pettus, Texas a few years ago. Now gone.

If it looks interesting, shoot it now!

    Nice addition Kenneth!

Yes, it appears what I called our "pun topic" series of topics have sat idle during my absence; might be time to resurrect them if we can get enough Railfans to join in on the fun...

I went back and fixed a bunch of broken links I had for photos I posted in this tread early on. For some reason I had fixed a few years ago but not all. Oh well, here is the newly restored Katy depot in La Grange, Texas. Didn't Z Z TOP write a song about it? :cute:

Warehouse with truncated walls to clear curve.

This warehouse in Corpus Christi, used a few years ago as a voting machine warehouse, and many years before that, as an express office, was rebuilt with walls cut off to clear the freeway frontage road.
A similar structure could be built on a model railroad to fit next to a turnback end curve or the curve of a wye.

Is a barge a structure or a vehicle? In my case, it is a structure because I want to have a small example of the shipbuilding industry on my layout and I don't have room for a full-fledged shipbuilder. I have been thinking of a drydock for overhauling barges and offshore oil rig service boats I saw years ago. Unfortuneately that facility is on a stretch of the local harbor that is now off-limits. You can't even stop on the side of the road within a mile.

A few days ago, I took a trip from Corpus Christi to Houston. I was makiing good time. Instead of taking my usual shortcut through Blessing, I stayed on Hwy 35 to take a look at Palacios just for the sightseeing of it. I visite the harbor which is mostly for shrimpboats. But I found a barge overhaul facility much like the one I want on my layout.

These grain elevators belong to the guy who owns some ranch land adjacent to my property in central Texas. So,I guess he is my neighbor. This is in Temple, Texas.
