I'm always complaining of people on ebay just ripping off hobbyist like you and me. I will auction off items from now on with a no reserve price on ebay to help out those who other wise couldn't afford G scale items. Today I have listed a ebay auction on the Train Board store with a true no reserve price of $1. Here is the description: What we have here on auction is a kitbashers dream, A huge lot of G scale related parts. Here is what is in this lot of parts. There is a quatity of 48 individual plastic axles which are take offs from USA TTrains freight cars, 2 USA archbar trucks with USA knuckle couplers, 1 USA archbar truck with hook and loop style coupler, 1 USA archbar truck with no coupler, 1 Aristocraft truck which is broke and has no coupler, 1 Aristocraft truck with no coupler, 1 Aristocraft truck with Aristocraft coupler, 32 hook and loop style couplers which are takes offs from USA Trains freight cars, 14 individual springs for the hook and loop style couplers, 5 Aristocraft couplers with mounts, 2 Aristocraft couplers with no mounts, just the knucles, 2 Kadee couplers, unknown model type, 1 modified USA knuckle coupler, 1 Aristocraft part #29099 new in the box modern freight trucks with rotating bearing caps. Wheels EMD, Thanks for the heads up on this auction. I will watch it, but am afraid that a bunch of us here will be bidding against each other !! lol I would love to get some (say, 4-6 sets of wheels, and some trucks. ) but dont think i need all of those. Ill be willing to split some of this up if I were to get it.........any one else interested??? Darryl
wheels Yeah, well, we will see. I certainly dont want to over pay for something, and there are some people wiith inflated values of things.......so we will just have to wait and see what the final results are. I generally dont do snipers........but there is always a first time. D
wheels No biggie, I have a place on line to find wheels and trucks for a decent price, new. Just hard to pass up a deal on Ebay.!! lol Ive gone to auctions since I was a kid, and normally, if a used item, (unless its collectable) is going for more than50-60 % of new price, I pass.......I spend less this way, and dont get burned on things that are beat up, either. D
dmiller and DragonfyreGT, if one of you guys want to buy the lot and split it up with others so the auction price don't go crazy, that is fie with me. I hope someone on trainboard gets them for a good price who could really use the stuff. I honestly don't need to make a ton of money on this stuff.
Future EMD I guess Im kinda dense, cause I didnt realize that YOU were the seller!! lol Im not always quick on the draw........is there anyway in the future, to be able to offer stuff up to members here on the board, before sending to E way??? Maybe that would be a way we could get the for sale forum here going a little better than it is. Peer to peer always seems to work better, if were talking reasonable sales. D
dmiller, I myself have used the train store ad section yet, but I'm sure that I can fulfill your request. I used ebay in the past just because it was easy, recieving payment is easy, but of course the down falls is that you pay for that convience. I will give train board ad a try in the future.
