I don't know much about HO scale track (mostly an N scale guy). Other than Bachmann and Kato, does anyone make HO scale track with the built in roadbed?
There is some Atlas, and a little bit from Trix. All in all, Kato would probably be the best option, at least from my point of view.
Bachmann makes track with roadbed also. Black roadbed is steel track and grey roadbed is nickel silver. I bought a bunch when I was building my layout as test tracks to see if certain arrangements would work. I now use it on my storage shelves for car and loco storage, however, it seems nice. For some reason I am thinking there is a European manufacturer which produces these items. But a company name is not coming into mind right now.
