First of all Flash, thanks for the compliments on the Frisco Covered Hopper, I have another one painted and ready for decals.

    Some cars I just finished!

This is an old MDC 2003 CF car that I never finished from years ago. Lettered with Herald King Decals, and at least I used the correct number unlike Athearn which used an even number on the car, the prototype only had odd numbers.

This is an Atlas 2003 CF that was painted and lettered with Herald King Decals. Again I found out that Atlas made the same mistake and used an even car number on their car!

This is a McKeen Models kit where I removed the original lettering and painted and lettered the car per the Herald King lettering diagram. I could not find a lot of information on this car and used a generic car that matched the lettering diagram.

    Thanks for looking!

My workbench is now for some time the drawing board. AutoCAD. I'm fiddling with a track plan for my narrow gauge basement. Decades ago there was in Model Railroader an article by John Armstron, To Hardscrabble, the hard way: a track plan. I changed this plan for my room.

The next flat car on the work bench, this time a kit with two cars from ALAMOSA CAR SHOPS.
You see, I've added a lot of lead. This way I get just about 1.1 oz.

Here is the installment for cars that were finished this week.

This is an IMRC 50' PS1 Boxcar, substituted a DW 10' Plug Door for the kit doors, added extended couplers for a cushion car. Lettered the car with Herald King Decals.

This is an IMRC 1937 40' 10' Inside Height AAR Boxcar, lettered with Highball Graphics decals.

This is a Branchline 50' Berwick Boxcar, substituted a Diagonal Panel Roof for the X Panel that came with the kit. Lettered with Highball Graphics decals. (Did two cars as each decal set has the decals to do two cars).

    Thanks for looking!

Finally finished the two Boeing 737 fuselage section flatcars. The rear fuselage is on a Walthers GSI flat and the front fuselage is on an MDC 60ft flat stretched to 68ft. The fuselage is a 1:100 scale model. The protective tarps are made of two layers of material sewn together, then glued to the fuselage sections with canopy glue.

The left hood car is by LBF, with the flat repainted and marked for BN. The right hood flat is an MDC 60ft flat with a scratchbuilt hood.

Tried my hand at weathering today, and the first time trying to do graffiti. I still have to get the flat coat on there. It's been a long time since I picked up a paintbrush for this sort of thing.

Just finished decals and details on the Atlas C-424 I bought at the CARM train show in Ottawa a couple of weeks ago. I'm very satisfied with this job. :D

I'm starting to plan the same paint scheme for my Stewart C-630.
