Here are a few more cars that I have just finished!

Walthers 4160CF Two Bay Airslide, lettered with Microscale Decals.

I found this car in an Article in Rail Model Journal that is on the following website: http://www.trainlife.com/, they have full copies of various years of Rail Model Journal and Model Railroader magazines. I used a Front Range single door car and substituted the door with a panel side door from a Robbins Rails PS1 boxcar. Letter with Herald King Decals, I had the decals but did not know what car to use until I found this article.

This is a Details West FGE RBL No. 700 Kit, painted Big Sky Blue and lettered with Herald King Decals. The cars were painted Big Sky Blue as the cars were leased by General Foods for their service as the EL was bankrupt at the time and General Foods did not want to lose the service of these cars. Big Sky Blue was General Foods corporate colors.

    Thanks for looking!

Dan, those are some nice looking cars. There was a lot of work building the cars, then painting and lettering them. Thanks for sharing!

    "The Office"

I ran into this little kit from Railroad kits.com; made from Hydrocal similar to Downtown Deco kits but less of a price $29+$5 shp. Real simple to build and decorate thought I would share.

I am working on adding an open platform to one of the new Walthers UP dome observation cars to create a model of the Warren R. Henry.

This is what I am aiming for.

I'm busy with a 90 deg corner module. Here's one segment with 45°. It's irregular, one end 30cm wide (which connects to my Fiddletown) and the other end 40cm wide. The second segment is regular with both ends 40cm wide.

You see the paper templates for the correct angle.

 Very nice! Is there a plan for those stock pens out on the internet or is that something you came up with? I need several stock pens for my layout and scratchbuilding them is just fine with me. :D

I've used prototype pictures and the book from Harry Brunk, Up Clear Creek on the narrow gauge. He has a lot of drawings in his book A very good source for scratch building.

Finished two of the three cars this week, the old DTI car was one I had to fix the couplers on and found I was out of couplers.

Athearn 86' Hi-Cube with Herald King Decals

Athearn 86' Hi-Cube that I made into a more Thrall Looking Car by removing the cast grabs and replacing with ladders. In looking at the pictures the AnnArbor started after the first weld line rather than at the door as shown with the decal and the pre-positioned spacing of the decal sheet. So I applied each letter for Ann Arbor separately. Ann Arbors 86's were acquired second hand and consisted of both Greenville and Thrall cars, this number is a Thrall Car. Herald King decals.

IMRC 40' PS1 painted and decaled in the Ferry in the Fog Scheme. Herald King decals.

    Thanks for looking!
