A few months back I visited a local club that was hosting a bazaar - lots of stuff for sale at really cool prices! I picked up a four-pack of Canadian Pacific Overland passenger cars for 50$, which will be perfect for when I built my small HO layout set in the 1920s/30s. It includes a coach, combine, RPO and a business car. This adds to my existing single coach I already bought a couple years ago (lucky the set has a different rpoad number than the single!)

Unlike the Overton cars, the Overland cars are 60' long. They lack any interiors.

Well, I found online both on Thingiverse and on some random website I came across some interiors for these cars. I'll link that website here, since I was definitely inspired by this man's models: https://www.wussowdesign.com/MDC Passenger 50 foot Cars.html

I was going to use the models with just a few modifications, only to realize that everything is too small (seats are too small, doorways, etc). Realized that when I tried sitting passengers in the seats. So in the end, I started from scratch - honestly, it was easier than trying to fix the meshes.

    First, the passenger car...

It's not prototypical of anything, but then the cars aren't either for Canadian Pacific. They sort of look like the Colonist cars with the clerestory roofs, but windows are off. Lets call them freelanced :ROFLMAO:. The seats I designed myself, but the stove is just a model off either Cults3d or Thingiverse (or maybe both, a lot of free models are posted to both sites). The walls are heavily inspired by the models I found online. The interior of the "washrooms" and larger enclosure are not detailed (no toilets and sinks :ROFLMAO:). In fact the larger compartment is where I will eventually put in the capacitor for the lights.

    Next the combine...

heh, I'm not sure we're even gonna see much of the "cargo" through the windows. But it's there. again, all those boxes, barrels, etc are from free models off thingiverse. Maybe I should have put in some trunks, but couldn't find any. It's fine as is.

    And the RPO...

Yeah, pure fantasy, but that's good enough for me. I just don't want them to be empty.

So that's it, I've yet to do the business car, which is my least favourite car, not much use for it, so may just make it into a lounge car instead. But that's for a future day. I haven't painted these yet, but I will likely just paint them a light grey and that's it, just to protect the resin from UV light. I have a bunch of cheap WeHonest ebay sitting passengers to put in as well, again for a day in the future. This was just a relatively short project to do while I was stalled on other projects.

When I get these finished (sometime this year? :D) I'll post a new picture!

No idea how I missed this post other than I was working a lot of hours and weekends at the time. Those interiors looks great and I'm looking forward to when you get them painted. Are the roofs easy to remove so you can show them off without too much trouble? Again, great job!!

The roofs were originally glued on, some were easy to snap open (very little glue), one was really difficult, they'd put a lot of glue on. I don't know how I'll set it up after I'm done, maybe magnets? It's a good point that I hadn't really thought about.

Project is still on hold while I finish up the Climax and several other projects.
