We (harlowtonmuseum.org) recently acquired a model of the Hiawatha produced in standard gauge by Lionel in 2001. The observation car is a beaver tail car with one vertical fin and three horizontal fins on the back of the car. Are these fins just a Lionel embelishment or are they an accurate representation of the 1939 or 1942 Hiawatha observation car? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks John Larsen.
