Welcome to Trainboard, Carl. Are you a 12 inch to the foot scale guy? :tb-biggrin:

Thanks everyone, I just enjoy watching and taking photos of trains. My residence overlooks a switching yard which services Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, Southern Rail, and Burlington Northern. That's about it hope I'm in the right place!

Hi Carl, welcome to the TrainBoard. Regarding which forum to post photos and comments, there are NO rules. If you have a photo or comment about a specific full-sized (1:1 Scale) railroad, then post to that railroad's forum. However, if your input is for a model of a scale smaller than 1:1, then post it where you think it fits. Don't worry about offending anyone...we're actually nice folks, not like older brothers or sisters just waiting to pounce. :tb-wink:

Nice setting for those switchers. Almost post card-like. Where did you catch them?

    Thanks!

This one was at the New Westminser Quay British Columbia. Small swing bridge which leads over to an indistrial area

Carl, you sure you don't mean Norfolk Southern, and BNSF?

Neither Southern nor Burlington Northern have been in existence for quite a few years

    Thx!

Yes it's "SRY" rail here in BC, Canada. They actually still use a functional caboose.

It's great living in an apartment that overlooks a switching yard used by 4 or 5 different companies.

Btw a few years ago the "Royal Hudson" steam train made an historic run through here. Can anyone tell me the kind of whistle that I heard right at the end of this video i made? Thx.

Btw would anyone care to see some abandoned tracks that ran through the city ??
