Amazing how these old logos dress up the rather plain gray cars.

I must have switched those cars out a day or two before you shot that photo. They came through Alliance on an inbound from Tulsa. I had to do a double take on my switchlist because I recognized the number of the first GN car and sure enough, the whole cut came down like you shot it. Sometime in the first week of December I caught one of the BN cars at North Yard in Fort Worth. I have to admit, it was a little weird seeing a small, reflective green BN logo on such a large gray car after years of seeing white logos on green cars and black logos on gray cars.

As for the other schemes, according to the mechanical department, there will be three of each in the following roads:

    Great Northern
    Spokane Portland & Seattle
    Northern Pacific Railway
    Frisco
    Colorado & Southern
    Burlington Route
    Denver Road
    Burlington Northern
    Santa Fe

I'm looking forward to the Fort Worth and Denver car. I hope we'll see them in my area.

When I first read this topic, I did not catch that there would be three of each. That's great, as it raises the possibilities for spotting one of those cars roaming around the system.
