I'm looking to find a few people to join my charity group. haha That is what excuse I use at work but now I was wondering if any of you might have some thoughts.

it towards the end of the video around 8:00

Recently I have been doing some research on automating signals, turnouts, and trains using JMRI. This of course is going to include new equipment which I've been learning about. As well as some new parts of JMRI I haven't used yet. It is fun I have to say.

While researching this stuff I ran into this guys video and figured I would ask about this topic for him!

So How do we get the train to keep going into the block and slowly slow down using JMRI ?!?

    Maybe well get some hits!

    Cheers all!!

It would help tremendously if he would just add deceleration momentum to the loco so it would not stop so quickly, then it would come to a gradual stop and naturally travel further into the block. He could also break the layout up into finer physical blocks so that each signaling block has two or more sub-blocks, and have the train slow in the first sub-block and stop when it gets the sub-block right before the signal (I assume JMRI could handle that, I haven't looked into automation using it yet).

Awesome! I knew someone would have an idea. I dont fully understand it since I have not had my hands on it. I will know soon enough though. Can you suggest any videos you may have watched on this topic ? @CSX Robert Thanks again.
