Hi, my name is Dan and I am new to the hobby of model railroading. Actually, I dabbled in HO as a teenager but that was 40 years ago  I have chosen N scale and am loosely modeling DRG&W in the 1950's. I haven't nailed down a more particular time frame as yet. I have a 2'x8' that expands at the half way point to 3'. I have also been scratch building some buildings and even a lighted billboard. Cheers, Dan
Welcome aboard, Dan. The billboard looks to have turned out very well, and I also see you have a decent start on a layout. As for era, who needs to be specific? Personally, I'll keep my modelling MoPac from late '60s on. Not very consistent, but it's my stuff so I don't care!
Thank you Eagle 2 for the warm welcome. I don't plan to get all ridgid with my hobby. I'm in it to relax and hae fun! Dan
Dan, Welcome to Trainboard. As a fellow N Scale traveler, I think you'll find a ton of useful information here. And, having married into a Green Bay family years ago, I hope your snowthrower is working well this year - the Falls seems to be getting hit regularly. Philip
Thank you Phillip H, and yes, I have had to use it a few times already :droll: By falls you mean Oconto Falls?
Hi Dan, Welcome to the train Board, glad that you're on board. You've got a nice start, looking forward to seeing more of your progress.
You've hit the nail smack on the head! This is what the hobby is all about. Just have fun. Go where you want to go, do what you want do accomplish. Nothing else matters. Welcome to TrainBoard! PS- We've used our snow thrower a few times already, too! It's indoor hobby season!
I'm late to the welcoming parade, Dan, but would like to join in welcoming you aboard. Good attitude!
