I am finally returning to building an N scale layout after many years away from the hobby. I will be modeling the transition era, freelanced, with mostly steam with some diesel. I need thoughts and ideas on a yard and engine facilities.
Hi Dwight, Welcome, glad to have you on board. Being an NYCer in the transition era, what are your thoughts of modeling the various yards in and around The City. I always thought it would be neat to model the High Line coming down to street running on the lower west side dock area. That was in the 30's-50's, but the 50's were part of the transition era. Might be fun scratch building an NYC Triple-Power box cab. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
