Well I am back for about the third (or fourth) time to try and get myself into the hobby! Each time has lasted about a month and then fizzled out so third time is the charm! I KNOW I will enjoy creating a layout but sadly the interest to get things going drops quickly. I am determined this time to get things going so I am of course a noob interested in an N Scale layout. I am in the "gathering information and reading" stage for the next few months so any tips/links etc you can please recommend will be greatly appreciated! I am ALMOST over the sticker shock of prices for some items in the hobby so eventually after the "gathering information and reading" stage, I am going to have to learn how to create a few smaller items/buildings from scratch - I have no idea how to do this but I am willing to learn through trial and error - gotta stick to a budget! Looking forward ....

    Welcome to TrainBoard!

Be sure to check out those shops which advertise with us. Also, be careful with any shopping via auctions. There can be times prices asked there are misleadingly upward, or folks bid a bit briskly....
