Hello all, my name is Phillip, I am a Staff Sergeat in the Army, and I am gettig back to N Scale after a hiatus. I have a few HOn3 items laying around, so as soon as I find them, I'll see if anyone wants to trade for them. My current plan is to find a Kato SD40-2 with ditch lights, and have it painted/detailed. I will be utilizing a small area for storage, so probably a 4 piece sectional that I can expand on later. If anyone is in the area, hit me up. V/R, Phillip
Welcome to TrainBoard, Sergeant! Clarksville? As I recall my RR history, that's old Tennessee Central RY country. Is there still active railroad through there? If so, I'm guessing Norfolk Southern? Anyhow, tons of N scalers here, myself included. Some wonderful skills and lots of answers, for any questions where you might need an idea.
Boxcar, RJ Corman runs the lines around here. The Army has their equipment on base, although, I have only seen the pair of engines once. Tenn Central used to be in the area, one of their depots in Nashville is a museum now.
Hi Phillip, Welcome, glad to have you aboard. I may be mistaken, but isn't HOn3 track actually gauged for N-Scale? If so, then you're already half-way through your transition already having track and trucks. Though it might be a slight problem trying to sell HOn3 rolling stock with no trucks....hboy:
HOn3 won't run N Scale, however, HOn2 will. And the rolling stock without trucks, thats how the kits come.
Great to have you along, Phil - says the old 19D. Are there any modular clubs around your area - during my time in, that proved a very ood solution for me.
Eagle2, haven't found any yet. So you are a Cavalry Scout? I was on the better side of that spectrum, Infantry, but I am a radio operator now stuck in an Infantry Company in a Cavalry Squadron. Gotta love the Cav/Infantry community.
