If you skipped the 7-8 hours a day wasted on sleep, you'd have more time for hobbies.

All right got some update pictures.
I will begin this update with a nice shot of my westbound train coming off the Renslow Trestle. However, I've noticed taking pictures always help me see what I didn't see earlier. For example the railing is not attached...should be fixed my next pic!

Next, a pic of the newly added rock molds that create the visual of the cut into the hillside west of renslow.
Then I went ahead and added the irrigation channel that is below the bridge. I figure if I want this thing to be prototypical then I should probably add it.
The Beverly Helpers cut in 30 cars back!
and for fun, I finished the decals on my fantasy twinstacks!
So a few more touch-ups and then off to earth coloring paint!!!

The way that hillside falls away below your train really is cool. Gives it the real feeling of being "up there" as on the prototype!

That whole scene is coming along real nice!! It's funny how you can find things in picture that you can't see looking at it in real life.

Well, I didn't get around to doing to much with lines west due to both my grandmothers and moms birthdays!

I finished adding I-90 and Boylston rd...now the smooth-it is drying. So there is not much to show off right now. However, earlier today it was beautiful in Washington...so took a kind of creative picture. Looks cool minus the window frame, blinds and whatnot. The second is just of another picture that I thought it just came out good looking. I love it when that happens!

    Greg-

Maybe some day you can play with photo editing software. That top shot should work well for an early morning train....

    Ken,
I was going to suggest that same thing, that would be a great pic minus the windows! or maybe just a sledge hammer and take out the whole wall!

I have played with Photoshop in the past for minor things...but maybe I'll give this pic a try. Well I just realized I have a 3 day weekend coming up as we don't have class this Monday...so that means I have a great opportunity to get some work done.

I am also planning to head over to the real Renslow come March to collect some ballast samples. I figured since the milw used the pit run gravel that was much smaller than what I've seen on most other rail beds, it might work well on the layout. I realized this last summer while bike riding the ROW; of course I did not have a bucket. So I will be taking a bunch of buckets, filling them with dirt, and somehow stuffing it into this...? [IMG]

This is an example of a Photoshop I did. I call it my ghost train Z signature pic.

Yes it is, I found that kind of odd too...as I thought 156 was supposed to be placed as the lead unit on any consist it was a part of.

maybe it had some problems or something...

    Here's a moody view....

We were coming back from Othello. Trying to catch this one at Kittitas. But, as you can see, he was miles past there. Because the track conditions were not as bad as the propagandists wanted all to believe. [IMG]

    Just east of Renslow Bridge.......

    Ken,
you are correct, the sun probably would not have been seen from this angle. the train is heading west in my picture. However, you have a wonderful picture there, thanks for sharing it.
