Day 1 from Altenbeken Z scale meeting, show, display of anything and, shopping About 37 dioramas, 16 layouts and many sellers of new and old. While the vast majority was European based, there were 3 US layouts and the U.K. too. *LOTS* more pix as I get WiFi access. Jeff & Mickie SF Bay Area Z

To simply say 'this is nice modeling' would be an insult to the creators of these pieces of art. Outstanding workmanship! Kind of makes one think that dioramas are the new 'in thing' to do.
Hi all, I did spot you in the crowd (I think), Jeff, but it was to busy to speak to you. Didn't have a chance to meet up with Pawel, either. However, the layouts were from cute to nice to amazing. There were some interesting stands of small scale producers. The overall atmosphere was open and relaxed. Nice. I have seen that Northsea layout before at a Dutch exhibition. Amazing what some people can build. I Like that carfloat!

Kurt, they were doing switching while we watched. There is a blind loop behind the diorama that ran a WP local. Mickie and I work at the Niles Depot in Niles Fremont, just a 150 meters from the real junction.
