So, not sure if this will be useful to anyone but the City of Spokane has a mapping site that includes a 1958 aerial which gives a great view of how much rail, particularly the Great Northern, was a part of the area. http://www.spokanegis.org/citymap2/ in the right corner just select "1958 photo" and you can then scroll, zoom, etc...
Pretty cool . Do you have any favorite rail fan sites you visit beside Hauser ? My favorite is the interchange in Sandpoint , my office front door is 45 feet from it. I work from home now, but the BNSF track is two blocks from my house .
