I tried to post a full size photo from the new album site on the Atlas forum . Here is what I did , and what I got . How , or can we transfer bigger than thumb nail shots for viewing please ?

Here is UP 3 , trying for the first time transferring from the terrific new yesterday Trainboard Grapevine Albums alternate photo site .

    unchanged

How come the big pictures work here and not at Atlas or TheRailwire ?

Do we have to super size every shot to get the properties to get the bigger picture to post it here ? Is there another way to modify the properties to preclude having to do that ?

On The Railwire site , 1 of 2 big pictures sometimes shows . No matter what , that is odd in itself .

I find it odd that there has been no comment by a Trainboard official , or anybody else ?

Thanks , I sent a message via that " New feature " announcement , but no comments yet . I will now try the Support Forum . I figured Charlie and company would have been all over this , but we all have lives , and he must be busy .

I have populated that new great Grapevine Album site ( see in my sig )

I can down load thumbs and big photos from it to the Trainboard .

But the larger shots won't work with TheRailwire or Atlas .

Tried on the Atlas N scale turbine thread .
Tried on a N scale Trainboard capability thread on TheRailwire .

Ideas , thoughts , bad news for me , working on problem , go back under my rock ?

    1. Don't go back under a rock.

    2. Don't allow me to help you as there will be no end of bad information.

    3. We will get some electron guy over here to check it out.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I am not a modeler and don't look at Atlas, so I'm not sure why the large photo won't display. The link you typed first, in the first message, is definitely to the THUMBNAIL of your photo. In order to display the large version, first you have to enlarge it while viewing your album, then right click on the location. It should then appear in large size when you transfer that link to your message. Hope this helps some.

That works on the Trainboard , but not on TheRailwire or Atlas .

OK, I merged both topics together just so we have one spot to work this with you.

I don't have a membership with TheRailwire but I have a rarely used membership on Atlas. Let me do some experiments over at Atlas and see what I can find out for you. Different forums have different software, limits, etc. so lets see what we can find...

Will pass this on to the other staff members...

OK, I've done a few experiments and there is nothing you are doing wrong, it does appear that the new albums and Atlas are not compatible at this time.

Thanks , are there any plans in the future to try to make the Grapevine Album large shots compatible with Atlas ?

Is this incompatibility a must fix to the Trainboard or a ho hum thing that might be fixed maybe sometime ?

I ask , because I don't know if I should bother pumping it with more photos or not . Further , if the coding is revised I may need to delete and re-pump whats already in there . I really would like this to work on all 3 forums .

I will hold off adding anything till it does work on all 3 forums .

I got the e-mail about this new album, but haven't uploaded yet.

How do you even get to these "grapevine" albums to look at them? I clicked Richie's link and got into his album and was able to view his photos, but I could not find a link there or anywhere on all of Trainboard to every one else's albums.

    It is very confusing.

Chris333: Just go to the "My TrainBoard" nomenclature on the left side of the gray bar at the top of TB. Click on that. On the new page, look under "Your Control Panel" on the left side of the page. Your "Grapevine" albums and the ability to create them are under "Photos and Albums" below the "Net Working" section on the left side.

That is all I know. :D

How To See Grapevine Albums of Other Members

To look at other members Grapevine albums, you click on their name to go to their profile page. If they have uploaded any pictures, a link to their albums will be shown on the right column of their profile page. Click on those album titles and you are on your way!

I've sent a message to Charlie about this to make sure he is aware but I don't know if there is anything we can do on our side; it's Atlas not accepting the new filename format that coems with the new albums.

You can however use the RailImages system which does work with Atlas still.

Thanks. I found where I can create my own album, but cannot find everyone else's album. I know I can find a persons album by click on their profile, but I would have to guess as to who would have one.

I just figured it was more like Railimages where I could browse and search through everyones stuff.

    No biggie.
