These guys have a huge display layout that goes up at the convention center when they put on their annual show. It was a good one this yeatr, even though there was another one going on in the Twin Cities. Sadly for the show, the chief 'pusher' is retiring from it next year, and there is only an April 15th date left. Unless someone else picks up the gauntlet and takes over the organizing.

Anyway, here;s two videos, one of the layout, and one of the show, including the layout!

Oddly enough, My daughter whom lives in Cold Spring came down to the TC for said other show on that weekend. Personally, I was was disappointed. I went to St. Cloud for the show back in May just because it was the first show in MN since the world was going to end and it was fun because the focus was on model trains. The recent show at Canterbury felt more like a big garage sale with some toys for sale, literally toys as if to cater to people that wanted to buy toys for their kids. No manufacture displays or vendors selling newer items. Stuffed animals and Thomas whats his name ruled the day. Guess I should have gone to STC.

There was a lot of O gauge and G for sale there. Lionel as well. It was my first trip to this show, and it sounds like Ed's next to last show. He retires next year, and has an April show planned as a finale. Bummer, but maybe someone else will pick up the reins and organize the next one.
