GP38's are pretty much gone from NS. but when I went though my old photos, I did find that I had quite a few pics. I will share them here with you. A lot of GP38's were sold off and now work for short lines. Many GP38AC's have been rebuilt and still ply the NS rails as GP38-2's. Harold [ July 01, 2005, 07:19 PM: Message edited by: chessie ]
Very nice! Do you happen to have #2758 or 2761 in your collection? I have the n-scale version of those. Be interesting to compare to the real thing.
wow, I didn't realize the SOU units had the short fuel tank. no need to bother trying to model that!! Ed Dillard
Ed, I forgot about that feature! The Southern units were delivered with the small fuel tanks in an effort ot keep weight down. I think the small tanks were replaced with larger ones from SD35's when they were retired. Harold
As luck would have it, I don't have pictures of those two units. I will get around to posting the units I do have. Harold
Here's the next unit, # 2728 still in SOuthern paint, at the fuel racks in Raleigh (won't need much 0 Harold
