Thanks, didn't know that. Though I thought this apparently simple and efficient solution was well done.
That is exactly the method used to bring all the standard gauge display locomotives on to the CSRM grounds for Railfair 91 and Railfair 99, and to get the excursion runs out of the grounds during the fairs. I don't know about '81 as I did not attend. Seeing that transfer table in use makes me even more upset with CSRM for not moving ATSF 2925 and 5021 into the shelter of those buildings.
I was attending a convention in Sacramento oh, 7 years ago. I thought at that time I saw a panel track laying in the dirt with appropriate missing ties they craned in place. They did tell us the plan was to put the diamonds back in. Dave
