As far as I know it still operates. I'm feelin nice so have two clues 1.) Single commodity operator (Or mostly a single commodity) 2.) South of Tulsa,North of Houston, West of Birmingham, East of El Paso
Yah. I have been digging through anything I can ever remember hearing. Trying out various leads via Google. Of current companies, nothing trips the "eureka" factor. The smallest I can find so far is a cement line in SW Arkansas. But that is not the answer. Hmmm.
hmmmm.....I'm still a lone wolf here? I really was hopin one of you guys could be the star of the show here, and maybe even steel victory from the jaws of defeat
Well you're sort of correct, So I'll give it to you. It's the Texas and Northern that serves the Mill in Lone Star, TX I gave the clue of it being the "Smallest of it's kind at one point" because the TN had made over 1mil in the 50s, meaning that despite the railroad's 14 mile distance it was classified as a Class I
The T&N still exists? I had no idea. I seem to recall that Micro-Trains released an N scale hopper with T&N markings, about twenty or so years ago.
