The GTL is going to trade 2-6-2 #12 "the pineapple princess" for Midwest Central's ex Westside Shay#9 for at least 7 to 10 years. Also included in the trade is Midwest Central's ex Mexican 2-8-0 #1 which is currently non operational. The Shay will be much better suited for the GTL 3-4% grades while the 2-6-2 will be better off at MC. It's going to be a great year for the GTL. The 9 is being shipped in the next few days but needs a form 4 so the 12 will not leave until July when the #1 arrives. This will bring the loops roster to 6 locomotives- diesel 1203*, 21*, & former RC&BT 60. Steam locomotives 9* Shay, 111 2-8-0, 1 2-8-0. (* is operational, all others under restoration. Alex

Midwest Central is giving up the SHAY????????????? Wow what the heck is up there I wonder. Next too the number 6 the 9 was a star! Ahhhh well.
