I recently purchased a couple of Genesis F units. I installed the Digitrax DH165AO in an F-3. I have had no trouble with the operation of this model. The headlight functions as intended, bright in forward, red in reverse. I then installed a DH165AO in an F-7. The unit runs well but the headlight functions do not. I installed the decoder the same way in both units but on the F-7 the headlight package is different than the F-3. The F-7 model has two tiny bulbs for the main headlight with one tiny white bulb and one tiny red bulb for the upper headlight casing. I test ran the unit in regular DC before installing the decoder and the headlights functioned correctly. After installing the decoder all three of the tiny white headlight bulbs came on using the F0 button but were so dim that they could barely be seen. The red bulb does not come on at all in reverse. The headlights no longer function at all in DC mode. The DH165AO has built in resistors which is why I chose it for these models. If anyone has installed these in the Athearn F-7 with dual headlights any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. AF Niederer
