Hint #14 - There is a Black Line with 2.5 miles of this spot :tb-smile: :tb-smile: :tb-smile: :tb-smile:
:curse: I've checked a few other places that looked promising! With same results as last time, looked right, but wasn't! Betting that I'll kick myself, BAD, when this one ends! Unless I can actually figure it out, preferably before someone else!
OH man! 40°37'27.49"N, 105° 8'53.06"W... well, + or - Laporte, Co wow, I have an ex girlfriend that lives there, and have been though that town not too long ago. What roadbed was this part of? Mike
Keith, I read your previous post about 30 min ago when I started looking, and the whole time I was thinking that I'm wasting my time, since I figured you'd be the one to find it. I just got real lucky with this one. Mike
The book "Tracking Ghost Railroads in Colorado" states: Ingleside Branch of the C&S. Book also states: The Ingleside Branch of the C&S built to serve Great Western Sugar's Ingleside Quarry. The north end, Owl Creek to Rex, is accessible from Hwy 287 at Owl Creek, about 18 miles north of Ft Collins. The little spur at Owl Creek is dead, but there seemed in 1971, to be intermittent activity on the line. Says the road from Owl Creek to the end crosses some rough draw bottoms, passable only by high clearance vehicles. 40*47'13.54"N 105*10'43.71"W Ingleside Quarry, the end of the line.
Greeley Salt Lake & Pacific Railroad What is left of this Fallen Flag in Endanger of being completely lost... The below link will take you to CBS Channel 4 with a story about this Colorado Endangered Place; including a video clip showing what is still left. Historic Colo. Site Endangered By Water Line Plans The above image from their site looks out into the field where this contest had you searching I said you would not find info on RRAdventures; but, I said nothing about TrainBoard/RailImages
Darren, if you follow the roadbed further to the west, there is quite a large trestle still in tact. Do you have any pictures of it, or know of any? edit: 40°39'31.37"N, 105°11'30.85"W Keith, thanks for the info! I followed the roadbed all the way up to Rex. Mike

I was looking way too far south or out in the Grand Junction area. I did however stumble upon the Transportation Technology Center test track outside Pueblo. Oh yeah, what is a "black line" that was referred to?
Within Google Earth, you can have it display railroad lines, they show up as Black Lines when this option is turned on. In this case nothing shows up since there is no rail line there. End of the Line At this point, this was my last Google Earth Contest I plan to run for awhile; with the possible exception of Team Game #1 to help get it started. It's been fun running these 100+ games and I hope you enjoy the hunt.
