I hey guys, I am working some conversions, and I was wondering if anyone has scale line drawing for a GE C44-9W and a C40-9W. I want to convert my Kato C44-9W to an NS C40-9W. I want to try my hand at CAD designing the NS Cab for the engine, and would like both designs for reference. Any help would be great.

I may be wrong, but I think the only difference between a C44-9W and a C40-9W is under the hood, so to speak (horsepower rating). For the modeler, it's the options that drive (some of) us nuts: high vs. low headlights, number of dynamic brake fans, etc. I think these are independent of model designation.

The guy who did DCESharkman's models does fantastic work.

Yeah, the only difference is the fuel rack setting. No spotting features. What's the cab difference? As far as I know there is full, normal and old with extra side window.

Cab dimensions and lights are different than the C44

thanks guys, if anyone has a front view as well, that would be perfect, especially of the NS version with high headlights, and a version with nose headlights.

First, I need to clarify my last post, because my phone autocorrected for me. I meant "Gull Wing" not full.
So Gull, Regular and the older one with the different side window.

So the cab dimensions are different? This is the absolute first I've heard of that. Source? I thought the entire point of GE and EMD in the 90s and Aughts was they didn't do that kind of custom stuff anymore. You get to choose where your headlights go and that's it.
